6 years & 10 months old : shot 37-28 then took the 2nd place in the 6 & under group of US Kids Golf Regional Championships "Jekyll Island Cup". (leaderboard, video) (Jekyll Island, GA - Feb. 15˜16, 2009)

Junior Golf Useful URLs

US Kids Golf (USKG) holds many junior golf torunaments worldwide. Ethan has played in the World Championships and Regional Championships held by USKG and still enjoyed those experiences very much.

Junior World Golf Championships was founded by John W. Brown, Mrs. A.S. (Lou) Smith and Norrie West in 1968. Ethan has played in 2008 Callaway Golf Junior World Golf Championships hosted by San Diego Junior Golf Association (SDJGA) and has registered to play the 2009 event as well.

Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club (STJGC) (organized by Terry Sullivan) offers monthly tournaments for junior golfers with different skill levels to enjoy and learn playing golf from competition. Ethan played his first golf tournament over there when he was five. Santa Teresa GC is one of the most kids friendly golf course in the Bay area.

The Youth On Course (YOC) under Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) offers Northern California jumior golfers the opportunity to play some of the Bay area's golf courses for $5 or less while kids put to use the life skills and values training they learned in their YOC certified program.

Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) required kids at least 7 years old to play in their tournaments, so Ethan have not tried any of their turnaments yet.

Ethan usually practices short games @ Palo Alto GC and Shoreline GL (using a modified version of SPeeD Practice Drills, introduced by Roy Day) during weekdays, and played on course @ Santa Teresa GC, Pleasanton GC, and Blackberry Farm GC during weekends.
